Our social media presence

Data processing through social networks
We maintain publicly accessible profiles on social networks. The individual social networks we use can be found below.

Social networks such as Facebook, Instagram etc. can generally analyze your user behavior comprehensively if you visit their website or a website with integrated social media content (e.g. like buttons or advertising banners). Visiting our social media presence triggers numerous data protection-related processing operations. In detail:
If you are logged into your social media account and visit our social media presence, the operator of the social media portal can assign this visit to your user account. Under certain circumstances, your personal data can also be recorded if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal. In this case, this data is recorded, for example, using cookies that are stored on your device or by recording your IP address.

With the help of the data collected in this way, the operators of the social media portals can create user profiles in which your preferences and interests are stored. In this way, interest-based advertising can be displayed to you inside and outside the respective social media presence. If you have an account with the respective social network, the interest-based advertising can be displayed on all devices on which you are or were logged in.

Please also note that we cannot retrace all processing processes on the social media portals. Depending on the provider, further processing operations may therefore be carried out by the operators of the social media portals. Details can be found in the terms of use and data protection provisions of the respective social media portals.

Legal basis

Our social media appearances are intended to ensure the widest possible presence on the Internet. This is a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit.f GDPR. The analysis processes initiated by the social networks may be based on different legal bases that must be specified by the operators of the social networks (e.g. consent within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

Responsible and assertion of rights

If you visit one of our social media sites (e.g. Facebook), we are jointly responsible with the operator of the social media platform for the data processing operations triggered during this visit. In principle, you can exercise your rights (information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and complaint) against us as well as claim against the operator of the respective social media portal (e.g. against Facebook).

Please note that, despite the shared responsibility with the social media portal operators, we do not have full influence on the data processing operations of the social media portals. Our options are largely based on the company policy of the respective provider.

Storage period

The data collected directly by us via the social media presence will be deleted from our systems as soon as the purpose for their storage no longer applies, you ask us to delete them, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Saved cookies remain on your device until you delete them. Mandatory legal provisions - especially retention periods - remain unaffected.

We have no influence on the storage period of your data, which is stored by the operators of the social networks for their own purposes. For details, please contact the operators of social networks directly (e.g. in their privacy policy, see below).

You can view this agreement under the following link:  https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum .

You can adjust your advertising settings yourself in your user account. To do this, click on the following link and log in: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads .

Data protection for our Facebook page

With this page we use the technical platform and the services of Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square Grand Canal Harbor, Dublin 2, Ireland.

We inform you that when you visit Facebook pages, your IP address and other information will be saved. This information is used to provide the operator of the Facebook page with statistical information about the use of the Facebook page.

Data that customers, interested parties and users transmit to us there can also be processed by us in accordance with our data protection declaration. The processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. b GDPR) and our legitimate interest (Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit.f GDPR).

The data collected about the usage in this context are processed by Facebook Ltd. processed and possibly transferred to countries outside the European Union. Please note that you use this Facebook page and its functions at your own risk. This applies in particular to the use of interactive functions (commenting, liking, sharing, etc.). To do this, you have logged into Facebook yourself and accepted their terms of use.

Facebook describes what information Facebook processes in its data policy:  https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy

Setting options for data protection and the privacy of your Facebook account can be found here:  https://www.facebook.com/policy

Whether and how Facebook uses the data from the use of Facebook pages for its own purposes, to what extent it is assigned to individual user profiles, is currently not disclosed by Facebook. It is also unknown whether the data is passed on to third parties and whether and when they are deleted if necessary.

When you access a Facebook page, the IP address assigned to your device or Internet connection is transmitted to Facebook. According to information from Facebook, this IP address is anonymized (for "German" IP addresses) and deleted after 90 days. In addition, Facebook saves information about the end devices of the users (e.g. as part of the "registration notification" function); If necessary, Facebook is able to assign IP addresses to individual users.

If you are currently logged into Facebook as a user, there is a cookie with your Facebook ID on your device. In connection with cookies, we refer in particular to the explanation of cookies in our general data protection declaration and in Facebook's cookie policy ( https://www.facebook.com/policies/cookies ). This enables Facebook to understand that you have visited this page and how you have used it. This also applies to all other Facebook pages. Facebook buttons integrated into websites enable Facebook to record your visits to these website pages and to assign them to your Facebook profile. This data can be used to offer content or advertising tailored to you.

If you want to avoid this, you should log out of Facebook or deactivate the "stay logged in" function, delete the cookies on your device and close and restart your browser. In this way, Facebook information that can be used to directly identify you is deleted.

This allows you to use this Facebook page without revealing your Facebook ID. When you access the interactive functions of the site (like, comment, share, news, etc.), a Facebook login screen appears. After you have logged in, you will again be recognizable for Facebook as a specific user.

Newsletter data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we need an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter . The processing of the data entered in the newsletter registration form takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you have stored with us for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Newsletter2Go also enables us to subdivide the newsletter recipients into different categories ("cluster"). The newsletter recipients can be subdivided, for example, according to age, gender or place of residence. In this way, the newsletters can be better adapted to the respective target groups.
